DrBSmithportrait copy.jpg (10626 bytes) Director of Institutional Research and Strategic Planning - On September 1, 2005, after 20 years as Director of Information Services, I assumed a new role at BBC&S of Director of Institutional Research and Strategic Planning.   In the process, a new office began at BBC&S, the Office of Institutional Research and Strategic Planning. For many years, the Administration at BBC&S realized that though the institution generated and collected much data relative to its mission and vision, little real analysis was done in a way that would aid in decision making and planning. In an attempt to deal with this issue, the new office was created. My hope is that the work of this office will provide the administrators of the College, Seminary and Grad School with the kind of information needed to best make strategic decisions for the good of the institution.

Complete Family Genealogical Records - This is the complete (as of July 12, 1999) Genealogical Record of all parts of my family.  It contains everything I know about as of this date. Unfortunately, there is a lot that I do not have information about.   So . . if you are in my family, but are not listed or something is not right, please forgive me and send me an  email to give me the correct/added information. 

Research Methods is a graduate course that is taught by me in both the summer terms and during the school year. This course deals the various types of research that are appropriate in educational and counseling settings. This course may also be taken over the Internet as a eLearn based class. 

I also teach a Statistics course in the graduate school.   This course is available on campus during the Fall semester, on campus during some summers, and through the Internet as a eLearn based class. 

I am currently teaching on-campus an introductory Astronomy course that is also available in the Spring semester as an online course in the AA, BS, and MSBM degree programs. I also teach the online course Creation, Evolution and Intelligent Design. This course is available in the Fall semester of each year. I am also the chair person of the Science and Math Department in the Division of Arts and Sciences.
