In celebration of the 2010 F. Lamont Belin Arts Scholarship weekend, the Waverly Community House is pleased to host, AUTUMN MUSE,  a concert of new music by local composer David B. McGrew with poetry by Karen Blomain (Belin Arts Scholarship winner, 1986). The wonderfully diverse collaborative program, features separate new works for violin, cello, saxophone, chamber orchestra, soprano, and chamber choir. Poet Karen Blomain and composer McGrew have woven together a fascinating interplay of poetry, music and choreography. Open to the public, the event will showcase some of Northeastern Pennsylvania’s best performers and emerging artists in an evening which will include several world premiers.
