Dr. Mike Stallard

Dr. Mike Stallard is currently serving as Professor of Systematic Theology and Director of Ph.D. Studies at Baptist Bible Seminary in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, where he has been teaching since 1994.  He is a graduate of the University of Alabama in Huntsville (B. S., 1975), Liberty Baptist Seminary (M.Div., 1980), and Dallas Theological Seminary (STM, 1984; Ph.D., 1993).   He has several years of experience as a Senior Pastor including involvement in inner city church planting.  He is the founder and director of Mission Scranton, a ministry established in 1994 to foster church planting and inner city outreach in the Scranton, Pennsylvania area.   He is the founding pastor of New Life Baptist Church in Scranton where he currently serves as Interim Pastor and assistant worship leader.  Dr. Stallard has authored several articles for publications like The Journal of Ministry and Theology, The Baptist Bulletin, The Conservative Theological Journal, Bibliotheca Sacra, and the Dictionary of Premillennial Theology and is a frequent speaker at the Conservative Theological Society, Pre-Trib Study Group, and the Evangelical Theological Society.  He assisted in work on Willmington’s Bible Handbook, has published one recent book related to prophecy (The Early Twentieth-Century Dispensationalism of Arno C. Gaebelein), and is currently the editor of an upcoming book with Kregel Publications on the history of dispensationalism.  He is also working on commentaries on 1 & 2 Thessalonians and some of the Minor Prophets.  In addition, Dr. Stallard was for eight years an aerospace engineer including time on-site in Israel as a technical advisor to the Israeli Air Force concerning F-16 jet fighters.  He lives in Clarks Summit with his wife Cindy and three children, David, Philip, and Tiffany.
