Apocalyptic and the New Testament
Though this web site is dedicated to apocalyptic literature, it is categorized by scholars as ?pseudepigraphic? literature which is a large body of writings extending far beyond apocalyptic literature. This site surveys eight of the Jewish apocalypses. The overall purpose is to provide essential background understanding that will assist the New Testament student in the exegetical work within the New Testament. While each particular book has varying relevant value to New Testament exegesis, there is indeed relevance in this literature. The links below will connect the reader to the portion of this web site that discusses the relevance a particular book has to the New Testament. The discussions contained in the connecting pages are not intended to be exhaustive, but only suggestive.
