NT3, Biblical Intertextuality Seminar

This page has previously served a Th.M. course, NT901, Use of the OT in the NT. Beginning winter 2002 this page will be revised and expanded to support a Ph.D. course, NT3, "Biblical Intertextuality Seminar." The bibliography below does not yet reflect items related to the "intertextuality" element. I view the uses of the OT in the NT as one element of intertextuality, but I am only beginning to develop the course from that perspective.

The syllabus for NT3 is available in Acrobat format.

Bibliography

The following bibliography encompasses a range of hermeneutical issues and consists of books and articles that I have either acquired, read, or found through the recommendations of those I have read. A few citations reflect the current discussions of progressive dispensationalism, but this listing is only representative, not exhaustive. The first section lists book-length discussions, the second includes articles in journals and books as well as dissertations, theses, and unpublished materials.

As you browse the library catalog for additional resources, pay attention to these two subject headings: Bible. N.T. -- Relation to the Old Testament and Bible. O.T. -- Quotations in the New Testament .
